WARREN COUNTY, Ky. — Russell Anderson loves his reindeer.
“They’re some of the most beautiful animals in the world," he said.
He, along with his wife Jessica, are co-owners of The Reindeer Farm in Warren County. They've given them unconditional love every year since 2020.
"A lot of people don't even know reindeer are real," Russell said.
The reindeer at the farm are a mix of male and female, or "bulls" and "cows" as they are known, respectively. One of them, Flea, is no stranger to the spotlight.
“Flea is 11 years old; she’s done it all," Russell said. "She’s been on commercials; you name it.”
Not only is this a way for Kentuckians to enjoy the Christmas spirit, but teachers said it's a way for schools to help children from all backgrounds enjoy Christmas.
“This is something a lot of our families may not be able to afford to do, so being able to give them this experience is great for us teachers to see and for them to experience as well," said Ashley Gott, Warren County Public Schools teacher.
The goal for Russell and Jessica is to spread Christmas cheer and give guests memories they'll never forget.
"This is my favorite part, giving people lasting memories," Russell said.
The Reindeer Farm is open Fridays through Sundays every weekend until Dec. 29.
