Why does Kentucky's primary elections matter?

All eyes are focused on November, but Kentuckians have the chance to go to the polls even sooner. Kentucky's primary election day is Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Voters will be electing U.S. Senate, U.S. House, State Representatives, State Senators, as well as members of various courts including the State Supreme Court.
