The Beshear administration announced the $300 in enhanced unemployment benefits passed by Congress will begin going out next week.

The relief was passed in late December. Along with the checks, Beshear, a Democrat, said new online guidance will be posted by Monday.

"Our commitment is to get it right," he said. "We don’t want people to have to wait longer for dollars, but we want to ensure that everybody who’s going to get dollars gets them under the new guidance."

This announcement comes as Thursday’s unemployment report lists 965,000 Americans filing claims over the past week – the highest mark since August.
