Fire departments across Upstate New York will be receiving FEMA funding, including some right here in the Capital Region.

Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand announced a total of $3.3 million in funding.

Troy will be receiving nearly $400,000 of that.

Watervliet will also be benefitting from more than $450,000.

Fulton will receive over $112,000.

The senators say firefighters have been on the frontlines during the pandemic, and many departments are facing financial issues.
