A pharmaceutical research, development and manufacturing company in Rensselaer is penalized after the state DEC says it operated unpermitted air emission sources and exceeded limits.
Curia must pay a $175,000 civil penalty and establish a $250,000 environmental scholarship for Rensselaer High School graduates.
The order also requires the company to create an approved emissions compliance plan.
