City leaders in Troy are working to find a new comptroller.

Mayor Carmella Mantello confirmed Wednesday that city Comptroller Jack Krokos has decided to resign due to family obligations.

Krokos, a former Sand Lake concilmember, spent less than three months on the job after being appointed in mid-January.

Before that, the city had gone six months without a permanent comptroller.

The mayor thanked Krokos for his service and said the process to find a successor is already underway.
