A dry cold front is arriving in Central Texas this morning and southern areas by this afternoon. This will bring dry air and cooler temperatures for a brief spell.
Sunny skies should prevail for Monday afternoon with highs in the 70s in North and Central Texas. The front will wash out just south of San Antonio Monday evening and have no impact south of there.
South winds return by Tuesday, and by Wednesday many areas will see high temperatures in the 90s. By Thursday, a persistent upper low will develop across the western U.S., setting the stage for another days-long rain event for Texas to end the week.
