LOS ANGELES — Around 119 million people are expected to travel at least 50 miles from home this holiday season, with Monday being listed as one of the busiest, according to AAA.
The busy travel period lasts between Dec. 21 and Jan. 1, with driving being the most popular form of transportation.
Nearly 8 million Americans were expected to fly domestically this season, although there is a 10% increase in people choosing trains, buses or cruises to get out of town.
The city of Pasadena gets hundreds of thousands of those holiday travelers every year as people from all around the world and country get into town to enjoy the Rose Bowl or Rose Parade.
