A Shoe Palace employee handed out gold post-it notes which were taped to the purple wall.
There were notes reading things like, "Grateful to have learned and loved the game because of you," or "Thank you for everything Kobe."
Below the mural, fans placed flowers and lit candles in Bryant's memory. Many, like Kat Rivas, were lifelong Lakers fans, who felt compelled to come pay their respects.
“To know that we’ll never run into him is hard. We miss him on the court already and now we’ll just miss him forever," she explained. "I hope this stays here forever. It will represent all the love this city has for the greatest of all time.”
