Come out to Universal Studios Hollywood on June 25 for Pride is Universal for an exclusive after-hours party. Enter the park at 4 p.m. to ride all your favorite rides. Check out the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and The Simpsons. Then after the park closes, you'll get to stay till midnight to enjoy the fun. The event is open to all ages and is the perfect time to be loud and proud with your fabulous friends.
Next, maybe you're feeling thirsty. Head to Angel City Brewery in downtown Los Angeles on June 26. They will be revealing their brand new, specially brewed LGBTQ Pride Beer.
On June 27, the Los Angeles LGBT Center will host a Pride Picnic on the historic Fairbanks at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Sit on the lawn and enjoy tunes from DJ Asha, surprise pop-up drag performances and more. Tito's Handmade Vodka will be there serving up fresh specialty cocktails and grab a bite to eat from some of LA's best food vendors.
This weekend is Juneteenth, and a great way to celebrate the historic holiday is at Earvin "Magic" Johnson Park in El Segundo. Friday the 18th is the FREE Juneteenth Celebration and Resource Fair, where you can enjoy food trucks, musical performances, giveaways and more. Resources for vaccinations will also be available. It starts at 11 a.m., and all are welcome to enjoy the festivities, so go online to register.
Can you believe it's been 30 years since the hit film "Thelma and Louise" was originally released? On Friday, MGM celebrates the special anniversary of the classic film with a Drive-In at the Greek Theatre. There will even be a Q&A session with Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis before the film. Grab your best ride-or-die buddy and get your tickets online. A portion of the proceeds benefits the LA Food Bank and Geena Davis' nonprofit research organization.
On Saturday, The Lobero Theatre is having its first concert in more than 15 months. The Santa Barbara Music Foundation presents "Songs of Summer - Celebrating Brian Wilson," with a special tribute to all his classic hits. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online.
