Solve a Virtual Murder Mystery
And finally, Underneath the Freeways of Los Angeles is a virtual interactive murder-mystery experience set in Hollenbeck Park in Boyle Heights, which was infamously bisected by the 5 freeway in the 1960s, the same period in which the play is set. The audience plays the role of the interrogator, cross-examining witnesses and investigating how the crime occurred.
Spectrum News 1 arts reporter Nic Cha Kim talked to the playwright about how the engagement helps the audience understand the community and the unique challenge of acting in a virtual play.
Tickets for the show are available at: dime.io/events/underthefreewaysLA
