In Los Angeles, burger culture reigns supreme. Among the regions best-known and most long-running outlets is the Apple Pan, which has been serving up burgers, fries, pies, and other great food on Pico Boulevard since 1947.
The SoCal Scene's Alison Martino recently visited the iconic restaurant and spoke with employee Lupe Gomez, who's been manning the grill at the Apple Pan for three decades. As Alison reports, even though the beloved burger joint's famous counter is empty because of Covid-19 guidelines, take-out and delivery service at the Apple Pan is alive and well.
