Taylor Schaub joined Spectrum News 1 SoCal covering news and sports in 2023.

Throughout his career, Taylor has earned a reputation for delivering impactful stories that appeal to both sports fans and general audiences. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Taylor has been surrounded by the world of broadcast news from an early age thanks to his parents' extensive careers in the field. His father, Jeffrey Schaub, was a longtime reporter for KPIX-TV, and his mother, Margaret, served as a producer for KGO-TV for over two decades.

Taylor’s passion for sports broadcasting led him to Full Sail University's Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting in Orlando, Florida. Under the guidance of top industry professionals, he honed his skills and developed a deep love for storytelling that fuels him to this day.

When he's not behind the camera, Taylor enjoys playing golf and cooking for his family and friends.
