LOS ANGELES — Christopher Hubbart, 73, was dubbed the “Pillowcase Rapist” and convicted of raping dozens of women in the ‘70s and ‘80s and may soon be released in Los Angeles County.
Prosecutors said he used a pillowcase to muffle his victim's screams.
Spectrum News spoke to Antelope Valley residents and elected officials who are concerned about his potential placement in their community.
UPDATE: During an Oct. 1 placement hearing, the Los Angeles County Superior Court did not make a decision on whether Hubbart will be permanently placed in the Antelope Valley. The judge said submitted statements and letters opposing Hubbart’s release will be reviwed before making a decision at a later date.
