EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Los Angeles County’s controversial former sheriff, Alex Villanueva, is set to take the stand and testify on alleged deputy gangs next month.

It’s a sudden reversal, with Villanueva suddenly giving up his fight against the Civilian Oversight Commission. 

Loyola Law School professor Sean Kennedy, who is also chair of the commission, joined “Your Morning” to discuss what it means.
