LOS ANGELES (CNS) — A man who alleges he was injured in a 2021 traffic accident with a son of actor and former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has dropped his bid for a default judgment of more than $650,000 against the “Terminator” star’s offspring and Schwarzenegger’s production company.

On Wednesday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Daniel M. Crowley canceled the requests for a default judgment of $651,570 that the plaintiff, 34-year-old Saam Takaloo, filed last June and August against Joseph Baena, an actor and fitness model, and Schwarzenegger’s company, Oak Productions Inc.

Crowley’s move comes after attorneys for the parties filed court papers on Feb. 28 stating that the defense attorney team was hired after the default papers were filed and that both sides now want to proceed with the litigation.

Takaloo alleges he was injured when his vehicle was struck by one driven by Baena on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Culver City on April 5, 2021. Baena is Schwarzenegger’s son with his former housekeeper, Mildred Patricia “Patty” Baena, during an alleged affair that prompted the actor’s former wife, Maria Shriver, to file for divorce in 2011 when it became public. Joseph Baena, 25, was a contestant on the 31st season of “Dancing With the Stars.”
