EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Former CIA officer Lindsay Moran discussed gun reform in America. 

Moran took a stand against the sale of AR-15 rifles, noting that the gun is used in nearly every mass shooting. 

From Sandy Hook to Parkland, AR-15 rifles have played a major role in shootings that result in mass casualty. 

Moran drew on her experience in law enforcement to share just how dangerous these guns are. 

She said that this isn’t the type of weapon that is needed for hunting or recreation. Moran called the AR-15 a weapon of war. 

When it comes to gun legislation, Moran said she believes there are simple background checks and ammunition laws that could prevent mass shootings. 

She said that these laws have not yet been put in place.
