MONTEBELLO, Calif. — It’s the sounds and the lyrics of the music that possess choreographer Bex Nitti’s (they/he) body. It’s the space they perform in that makes them feel seen, so Bex wanted to share that with others by starting ‘Queerchata’.

Queerchata is a Latin dance team that aims to break down barriers that are created in the Latinx dance scene. Every dance that Bex choreographs for Queerchata, it holds space where it is normal to express yourself on the dancefloor however your heart desires.
