LOS ANGELES — State Sen. Steven Bradford for the 35th District is termed out.

Two African American women, both Democrats, are battling for the seat: Laura Richardson and Michelle Chambers.

The 35th Senate District runs from Inglewood, east to Watts and Compton and down to San Pedro.
