LOS ANGELES — As the Republican National Convention kicks off, many Latino voters want key issues to be addressed, one being illegal immigration.

For some, the issue has even forced them to change political parties. Elsa Aldeguer said she came here legally in the 1980s during the civil war in El Salvador. After decades of being a Democrat, she now has a different view.
