LOS ANGELES — Hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs is facing yet another allegation of sexual assault in a new lawsuit filed Thursday.

According to the filing, April Lampert alleges four instances of sexual assault from the mid-1990s into the early 2000.

This is the eighth lawsuit filed against Combs and the seventh directly accusing him of sexual assault.

This comes one week after CNN's release of surveillance footage, which shows the assault of Diddy's then girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, at a Century City hotel back in 2016.

Despite the outrage, authorities will not be charging Combs. And that's because the statute of limitations for domestic violence cases in California is five years.

State Sen. Susan Rubio, who already successfully lobbied for an extension from three years to five years, now wants to expand the statute of limitations to 15 years.
