LOS ANGELES — On Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court heard the United States vs. Rahimi case, which was filed by a man accused of domestic violence, Zackey Rahimi.

Under a domestic violence restraining order, Rahimi was not permitted to buy or own firearms. He was charged with violating the law after the police found several guns at his house.

Rahimi and his lawyers argue these restrictions violate the Second Amendment after the courts’ previous ruling related to conceal carry permits, New York Sate Rifle and Pistol Association vs. Bruen.
