HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — The looming threat of a government shutdown at the end of the week has billions of dollars in FEMA relief funds hanging in limbo.

The potential shutdown comes at a time when victims of devastating wildfires in Lahaina are still in need of federal aid.

In Southern California, there’s also $126 million of damage recorded in Riverside County, following flooding brought on by Hurricane Hilary.
