EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — With rain hitting SoCal this week, residents looking to prepare can head to a Los Angeles County fire station for free sand and sandbags.

Authorities said that residents must collect the sand and sandbags from a station in their city of residence. Proof of residency is required.

The map below shows which station carries sand or sandbags and provides their location and telephone number. Call ahead to ensure the station still has sandbags.
