BURBANK, Calif. — Since its beginnings in 2001, the Red Bull BC One competition is one of the largest breakdancing events in the world, bringing dancers together from across the globe. 

The Los Angeles “cypher” is a national U.S. competition and winners will compete in the international competition in New York this November. 

One of this year’s competitors, Kateryna Pavlenko, known as B-Girl Kate in the breakdancing world, is from Ukraine and hopes to represent her native country at the event.
