Jamie Ivey filed a lawsuit against Hollywood Premier nursing home, where her father died of COVID-19.

Unbeknownst to Ivey, her dad James had tested positive for COVID-19 nearly a week before his death. She says she didn't receive the grim news until the day before his passing.

Ivey’s litigation is among a growing number of lawsuits filed across California against nursing home operators that accuse staff and administrators of negligence, reckless misconduct, and elder abuse in their response to the coronavirus.
