Mayor James Butts, Jr. oversees the City of Inglewood, CA. His favorite thing about being mayor is being able to serve his constituents. 

Butts was inspired to run for office after serving as a police officer and working with municipal government. The biggest thing he has learned is that "you won't be able to make everyone happy all the time," and that a leader must do the right thing- even if it comes at the cost of elected office. 

Butts' first job was pumping gas and his favorite movie series is Star Wars.
