Union Rescue Mission CEO, Reverend Andy Bales, lost his leg fighting for the homeless.
He talks to Alex Cohen about the recent agreement reached with the city of Los Angeles, that now allows those living on the streets of Skid Row to keep as much stuff as they want on the sidewalks.
Bales says the resolution is a temporary fix and until we create places for people to go, the trash problem will never be resolved.
“We likely need to invite in FEMA and Red Cross and maybe the National Guard to help us out of this jam,” said Bales.
