Rebuilding and recovering from the Los Angeles wildfires is an expensive operation cutting across every level of government.

On Monday, in Sacramento, an LA delegation led by LA Mayor Karen Bass asked lawmakers for nearly $2 billion in fire recovery funds amid a nearly $1 billion budget shortfall.
