In Focus: SoCal host Tanya McRae takes a closer look at how the vote-by-mail process works as Californians prepare to vote in an unprecedented election amid the pandemic. McRae sits down with Secretary of State Alex Padilla, who encourages voters to take advantage of the mail-in ballots. Padilla explains how "Where's My Ballot?" will allow voters to track their vote-by-mail ballot after they mail it and how it will provide transparency.

McRae also heads inside L.A. County's central ballot processing facility in Pomona to see how ballots are getting processed and counted. She gets a first-hand look at how the ballots go through a series of checkpoints with COVID-19 safety rules and health precautions in place.
