MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. — Several people in Southern California continue to help the victims of the wildfires on Maui.

The list includes a silent auction that will be held Sunday at OB’s in Manhattan Beach, with items such as restaurant gift certificates, a stay at a property on Maui, jewelry, home goods and more up for bid.

Long time OB’s employee Bonnie Schroeder, who helped organize the event along with two other women from the South Bay community, said T-shirts that read “South Bay Supports Maui Strong” will also be sold at $25 each with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Maui Humane Society.

Community Relief Maui continues to collect first aid kits, medical supplies and other essential needs at locations both in Orange and Los Angeles counties.

Local surfboard shaper Ryan Harris has been helping collect and coordinate donations and shipments to Maui, along with Community Relief Maui.

He’s also set up a GoFundMe to help pay for larger ticket items, such as air filters and money to provide directly to families on Maui.
