LOS ANGELES — Sixteen-year old Quincy Reese was a junior and star basketball player at Crenshaw High School with a 3.4 GPA, with dreams of playing in college. His father said 58 colleges recruiters were interested in seeing him play for his final year of high school.

But tragically, Reese was shot and killed Saturday night at a party with friends in South Los Angeles. Basketball teammate and friend Chris Halthon said the next time he steps on the court, he will proudly wear the number 10 — Reese's basketball number — finding comfort that he's gained a new guardian angel.
