SIMI VALLEY, Calif. — For the last 15 years, Laurie Steinfeld has been turning her Simi Valley home in to Santa’s workshop.

Dozens of volunteers file in and create tiny Christmas trees out of pinecones, ribbons, flowers and more. But it’s not just an arts and crafts club, the trees are part of a fundraiser that helps children in Bethany’s Village in Uganda.

The trees will be sold and donated during a holiday fair at American Vision Windows in Simi Valley.

Find them at 2125 Madera Road. It takes place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
