LOS ANGELES — Grand Park’s Día de los Muertos celebration invites the public to stroll through the park and enjoy the wide variety of altars created by local artists and organizations until Wednesday.

Rosamaria Marquez, who runs the Rose Rock Gallery in Highland Park, helped create an altar in memory of members of the Los Angeles Inner City Cultural Center, which, since the 1960s, has been supporting cross-cultural communication through the arts.

Consuelo Flores, the event’s curator, said the celebration shows the symbiosis of Mexican and American cultures that has developed over the years.
