LOS ANGELES — A new interim housing center in South Los Angeles run by the LA Homeless Services Authority, or LAHSA, promises to connect homeless individuals to housing resources within 30 days.
The expansive 41-room facility will dedicate 25 shelter beds specifically for people who are sheltering on Metro’s system. The pilot program was launched in December 2023.
Officials say 12 people have been permanently housed so far, and 50 others have been transferred to other interim housing centers.
