LONG BEACH, Calif. — The Ordinarie Tavern in Long Beach is definitely not anything close to ordinary during the holiday season.
During the month of December, the bar underwent a complete Christmas transformation — working with the Miracle Pop Up company to create a unique holiday experience.

"It’s a Christmas cocktail pop up, in 100 different bars worldwide, everywhere from Australia to South Africa," said Chris Caldwell, the owner of the Ordinarie.
Miracle Pop Up has built a name for itself around the world by turning local bars into excessively decorated and outright overwhelming Christmas bars. It was something Caldwell thought would fit right in for a city that truly embraces its holidays.
“We have such great events already around here between the Queen Mary, the lighting at the Convention Center and the boat parade," he said. "Long Beach turns up for Christmas, so why not have a Christmas bar?"
Almost every inch of the bar is covered in some way with Christmas decorations, from holiday wrap, to lights and tinsel. It also offers a special holiday menu with drinks like the 'Christmas Carol Barrel' and the 'Santa Rex.'
“Makes it very festive for a dark time of the year," Caldwell explained. "We’re brand new here at the Ordinarie, so if it helps people find out we’re here, then it’s a plus.”
The Miracle at the Ordinarie will run through December 24.
