LOS ANGELES — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory committee is recommending updated COVID-19 vaccines for anyone over the age of six months heading into the fall and winter virus season.

“I think it’s perfect timing, and ideal timing, that we will have an updated booster shortly,” said Dr. Soniya Ghandi, associate chief medical officer at Cedars-Sinai.
