BURBANK, Calif. — Temple Emanu El in Burbank is embracing solar energy to combat soaring electric bills, thanks to a $50,000 grant from the Jewish Solar Challenge.

The program, launched in 2022, has already awarded nearly $1,000,000 globally, helping Jewish organizations adopt sustainability measures while reducing operational costs. For Temple Emanu El, the solar panels are a financial relief and a commitment to environmental stewardship.
