SANTA MONICA, Calif. — “Anora” took Best Picture at Friday night’s Critic Choice Awards, while FX’s hit show “Shogun” took home the award for Best Drama Series.
Among the night’s big winners were "Emilia Pérez," "The Substance,” and “Wicked,” which took Best Director. All three films took home three awards.
In the small screen categories, “Shogun” took home four awards.
The Critics Choice Awards were presented at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, hosted for the third consecutive year by comedian Chelsea Handler. Among the presenters during the show were Ewan McGregor, Craig Robinson, Jackie Chan, Orlando Bloom, Rachel Brosnahan, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Matt Bomer, Melissa Rauch, Keri Russell and Kristen Bell.
The Critics Choice Awards aired live on E! then be made available for streaming on Peacock the next day.
