LOS ANGELES — Following the economic downturn of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the WGA and SAG-AFTRA labor disputes, film and TV productions remain well below previous norms.

Many supporting industries and creative workers are struggling to find work, and Los Angeles continues to see productions being lured away to other states with more attractive production tax incentives.

The WGA strike ended on Sept. 27, 2023, and the SAG-AFTRA strike ended on Nov. 9, 2023.
