EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — The gripping novel “The Truth About Horses” takes readers deep into the mind of a teenage girl struggling with trauma after the death of her beloved race horse.

The powerful book is now being adapted into a film starring famed actor Jane Seymour. Best know for her role in "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman," Seymour knows a thing or two about trauma, as her Open Hearts Foundation has helped many overcome adversity.
