LOS ANGELES — Sound wizards Tom Ozanich and Dean Zupancic, who first collaborated on Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut “A Star Is Born,” say Cooper is deeply respectful of the art of sound design. 

For Netflix’s “Maestro,” sound plays an important role in telling the layered, complex story of legendary composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein. 

"Maestro" is nominated for seven Academy Awards, including best sound, at the 96th annual ceremony taking place March 10.
