Divo Diva Café is a European café owned by professional opera singers Victoria Robertson and Rosario Monetti.

They combine a taste of the delicious with a touch of the dramatic, frequently singing and putting on performances for their customers.

Robertson started hosting opera performances from her front porch during the pandemic.

Her friends quickly told her about the new Italian tenor in town she should meet. They started performing together, and their love blossomed.

"We're one of those couples that once we were together, we were together 24/7," Robertson said.

Now, they combine their love of music with their passion for great food and drink.

Monetti is from Italy. Robertson has roots in England.

Not only do they serve gorgeous pastries and delicious espresso, but they also serve authentic Italian food paired with wine.

"That's really what it's like in Europe," Robertson said. "You can get an espresso at 9 o'clock at night, and you can get a glass of wine if you choose to at 9 o'clock in the morning."

Their impromptu concerts make a morning coffee or an evening dinner a fanciful affair.

"When you sing, the food and the coffee becomes even better," Monetti said. "I don't know if this is like a legend, but we want to believe that it happens."

Together, the couple has turned their café into a home for the community to gather while also creating a space for them to share their impressive performances.

"You come over here, and you see, it looks like you are in your own living room hosting your friends," Monetti said. "I brought with me the Italian way of life."

"I wear my fancy gowns and Rosario dresses up and we do a beautiful concert and that's very intimate," Robertson said of the dinners they host at Divo Diva.

Robertson and Monetti are still balancing being professional opera singers and full-time café owners.
