LOS ANGELES — Hailing from Eagle Rock, indie folk duo The Milk Carton Kids (Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan) started playing together in 2011. 

The duo embarked on the first Los Angeles Folk Festival to celebrate the folk music scene, inviting some of their favorite performers to share their songs and stories.  

The LA Folk Festival runs Oct. 7 to 8 at the Ford and includes special guests John C. Reilly, Nick Thune, Raye Zaragoza, Tish Melton and more.
