EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Just in time for summer, another trendy bar is officially open in Southern California.

Frequenters of the Santa Monica Pier might be familiar with a nearby venue called The Bungalow, which also has a location in Huntington Beach. And now, a third spot is serving Wednesdays through Sundays in Long Beach.

Three-time Grammy winner Anderson .Paak served as DJ for the new location's grand opening on Saturday.

“I’m excited to bring the original vision of The Bungalow to Long Beach,” said owner Brent Bolthouse in a statement. “Our team has worked tirelessly to create a space that reflects the community and provides an unforgettable experience where guests can come together, celebrate life and dance the night away.”

The 10,000 square-foot space transports guests to a sort of "rock 'n' roll oasis" while capturing the essence of Long Beach with exposed wooden beams and wood-plank ceilings. The Bungalow boasts large fireplaces and a covered porch to keep guests comfortable year-round, especially if Southern California experiences another unusually cold winter next year.

Food menu highlights include:

  • Neapolitan-style pizzas
  • Smash burger
  • Street tacos, including classic carnitas and chicken tinga
  • Shareable selections, including spicy wings and crispy calamari

Those familiar with The Bungalow's first two locations can expect a wide array of specialty cocktails as well. And come summer, the new Long Beach location will be home to other known DJs on Friday nights, including Brody Jenner and Devin Lucien. During the week, guests can enjoy activities such as Drag Bingo on Wednesdays and Trivia Thursdays.

Located at the corner of 2nd Street and Pacific Coast Highway, The Bungalow Long Beach will be open Wednesday to Friday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday from noon to 2 a.m. and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.
