LOS ANGELES — It’s Super Bowl weekend, and only a few days are left to plan something romantic for your special someone as Valentine’s Day approaches.

So, why not make it a movie night? Better yet, a romantic comedy movie night set in the Mexican Riviera.

Streaming now on Paramount + is “At Midnight.” It is directed by Jonah Feingold, and it stars Diego Boneta (“Father of the Bride”) as Alejandro and Monica Barbaro (“Top Gun: Maverick”) as Sophie.

Set in Cancun, Alejandro is a hotel manager who meets Sophie, a movie star, while she is shooting a new superhero film. With different goals planned for their own lives, Alejandro and Sophie begin to secretly meet – at midnight.

Ahead of the film’s release, Boneta, Barbaro and Feingold sat down for a conversation with Spectrum News. Boneta discusses why it was so important for him to show Mexico in a different light, and Feingold tells us what he hopes viewers will take away from watching the film.

Boneta also tells us about the most romantic date he’s planned for someone, and Barbaro tells us what her ideal date is. It might surprise you.
