SANTA MONICA, Calif. (CNS) — The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards was graced Saturday evening by a video appearance from the First Lady of the United States, Dr. Jill Biden, who addressed the resilience of the nation's youngest generation, particularly the children of military families, and encouraged young people to give back to their communities.
The annual awards show, which was held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, honors younger viewers' favorite stars, sports figures, musicians, movies and TV programs, and is known for its liberal doses of green slime dumped on celebrities to the delight of the audience.
The event was hosted by actress Miranda Cosgrove and four-time Super Bowl-winning tight end Rob Gronkowski.
Among those serving as presenters were Adele, Awkwafina, Eilish, Cardi B, Grande, Tom Holland, LeBron James, Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, Olivia Rodrigo, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift.
The awards were chosen by fan voting.
