The new horror thriller No Escape co-stars social media personality George Janko.

Janko talks about how his new film mirrors the bizarre attention grabbing behavior of some social media superstars.

5 Things You Need to Know:

  1. No Escape is about a social media personality who travels with his friends to Moscow in order to capture new content for his successful VLOG. Always pushing the envelope that caters to a growing audience, they enter a cold world of mystery, excess, and danger.
  2. The film brought back together many of the same team from the 2017 film, Escape Room — which was similarly written and directed by Wernick and produced by many of the same people. Originally, the film was titled Follow Me, but was changed for the domestic release to No Escape.
  3. Janko is also a recording artist with a debut album called Without Fame. He became popular on both YouTube and Vine. As of August 2020, Janko had over 1.9 million followers on Instagram, 1.3 million subscribers on YouTube, 250,000 followers on Twitter, and over one million likes on Facebook. His posts are comedy videos such as sketches and challenges.
  4. In August 2020, Janko appeared in Logan Paul's Impaulsive Podcast "Episode 206," which came under criticism after the two got into a debate about Christian values.
  5. Janko has endorsed a number of brands, including McDonald’s. He became an entrepreneur when he launched his own line of fashion. Apparel like T-shirts, caps, and jackets with his name printed on them are sold online.
