LOS ANGELES — In a bid to overhaul the traditional college recruitment process, Venice’s AllAthlete platform is offering a chance for high school athletes to connect with coaches directly.
Founded by Greg Auerbach, the platform is like a mix of MaxPreps and ZipRecruiter, boasting more than 100,000 downloads. AllAthlete’s advanced algorithm, developed after two years of data collection across NCAA sports, matches athlete profiles with college coaches’ needs.
With endorsements from NCAA Division I schools and millions in investments, AllAthlete is poised to level the playing field for the country’s 8 million high school athletes, many of whom previously paid thousands for expensive camps or recruiting services.
