LOS ANGELES — Hundreds of students from schools across Los Angeles County will present their solutions for issues affecting their neighborhoods in front of stakeholders and local and state leaders.
It’s part of the nonprofit, nonpartisan Constitutional Right Foundation’s annual Civic Action Project, or CAP, expo. It’s a program the nonprofit developed in 2010 that provides a curriculum to “help teachers translate traditional classroom content into engaged and informed citizenship,” Senior Program Director Gregorio Medina said.
Jairo Martell is just one student participating in CAP. He has focused his project on a solution for student housing.
